LithGlow

LithGlow is an annual event held in May, hosted at Lithgow’s Blast Furnace Park. It is a unique event bringing not only the Lithgow community together, but also visitors from all over the region to experience this amazing display.

The event is organised by the Lithgow Council’s Economic Development and Tourist Team, who do an amazing job every year.

Blast Furnace Park is just one of many structures and attractions in the region that are illuminated during the duration of the event. Lake Pillans, The Foundations Portland, Small Arms Factory, and the Old Wallerawang Power Station just to name a few. Be sure to check out these dazzling displays as you explore the Lithgow region during this event. The sites will be hard to miss.

The evening of Lithglow includes a spectacular light show, exhilarating entertainment, and delectable delicacies to enjoy. Indulge in a wide selection of sweet and savory foods, we can assure you that everyone will find something they like. Live music performances also take place throughout the night. Take advantage, and bring your picnic blanket to make your evening even more relaxing. Don’t forget to take as many photos as you like of the stunning landmarks, and capture beautiful memories with your loved ones.

The Blast Furnace structure is open for visitors to explore the rich, majestic history of Australia’s largest ironworks. Observe how hard the architects worked and how much effort went into the construction of the building. The copper and steel walls come to life when the stars shine in the night, and beams of light flash around them.

Come along for a fun-filled night with family and friends. Check out the stalls and entertainment available throughout the night. The LithGlow event concludes with an amazing fireworks display over Lake Pillans, sponsored by Energy Australia.
